Job Purpose

The Pipeline Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, and technical monitoring of onshore pipelines, from the Detailed Engineering through construction and commissioning.

He/She ensures the technical, regulatory, and HSE compliance of the infrastructure, while respecting project deadlines, budgets, and requirements.


Activities

Engineering

  • Supervise pipeline studies (layout, sizing, material selection, corrosion protection, etc.).
  • Verify technical deliverables (design philosophies, calculation notes, technical specifications, MTO / datasheets, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, DNV, ISO, local standards, etc.).

Interfaces & Coordination

  • Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines (Civil engineering, Process engineering, Instrumentation, Construction).
  • Participate in technical reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Anticipate operational interfaces (clashes, scheduling conflicts) before and during the construction phase.

Construction

  • Provide technical support during manufacturing, transport, welding, installation, testing (hydrotest), and commissioning.
  • Respond to technical clarifications and manage technical deviations.
  • Participate in site inspections and technical audits.

Change Management

  • Analyze the technical impacts of the modifications (Method of Concept).
  • Propose optimized and documented solutions.
  • Contribute to the technical and economic justification of the changes.
  • Prevent change orders and delays related to technical matters.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years.
  • Project Execution Experience: Minimum of 10 years.
