Funmi Ogbue

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Funmi Ogbue is one of Nigeria’s most prominent female energy executives. As CEO and Founder of Zigma Limited, she is building what she intends to be Nigeria’s first female-led indigenous “mini-major” — an integrated energy company with interests across upstream, midstream, and downstream. Zigma is currently bidding for upstream assets under NNPC’s divestiture programme and operates EPCM, well services, construction, and manpower contracts for Shell, TotalEnergies, NAOC, ExxonMobil, NPDC, and NLNG. In parallel, Funmi leads Jake Riley Limited, the professional services firm she founded in 2008. Jake Riley is an internationally accredited consultancy specialising in engineering services, technology, training, manpower, and event management. The firm is a PMI Premier Authorised Training Partner, a CIPS Approved Centre, an NCDMB-registered Business Development Service Provider, NBTE-recognised, and a WEConnect-certified woman-owned business. Its clients include NNPC, NUPRC, NCDMB, NLNG, and the major IOCs operating in Nigeria. The firm led the Organisational Change Management and IT Governance programme for NNPC’s IT division and delivered the NUPRC 1MMBOPD Summit in London in 2025. Funmi is Co-Founder and President of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN), National Publicity Secretary of the Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN), Chair of the OGTAN HCD Conference 2026 Planning Committee, and Chair of the Support Our Troops Foundation. She holds a B.Sc. from the University of Lagos and postgraduate qualifications from the University of Manchester.
