The Challange
Jake Riley was engaged by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to organise and execute the Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF), a major industry platform that brings together key stakeholders across the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream sectors of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The engagement covers the end-to-end delivery of the event, including branding, media and publicity, website development, sponsorship, conference management, exhibitions, technical and opportunity sessions, networking and the NOGOF Awards.
Since 2019, Jake Riley has successfully delivered four editions of NOGOF: 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025, managing the evolving requirements of the event while maintaining a consistent and engaging experience for stakeholders and participants.
The Solution
Jake Riley provided an experienced multidisciplinary team to manage the planning and execution of NOGOF across its various editions, bringing together expertise in project management, event management, branding, communications and technology.
The 2021 edition presented a unique challenge as the COVID-19 pandemic made physical events difficult. Jake Riley successfully transitioned NOGOF into a virtual event, recreating the experience of an in-person conference through virtual sessions, exhibitions, networking lounges, media rooms and awards.
Building on this experience, Jake Riley continued to deliver subsequent editions in 2023 and 2025, managing the full event experience and adapting the delivery approach to meet the changing needs of the industry and participants.
The Result
Jake Riley has successfully delivered four editions of NOGOF from 2019 to 2025, establishing a strong track record in the planning and execution of large-scale, multi-stakeholder industry events.
The continued delivery of NOGOF demonstrates Jake Riley’s capacity to manage complex events from planning through execution, bringing together government, regulators, industry stakeholders, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and participants on a single platform to showcase opportunities within Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
NOGOF 2019 was a successful event with over 1,500 attendees, 38 sponsors, 60 exhibitors, 75 speakers with 200 projects presented and over 1000 opportunities were presented. The event was widely talked about in the energy industries as the event has over 70 media outlets covering the event. NOGOF 2021 was successful event and was widely received with positive critical acclaim as the first virtual event of its kind in the Oil and Gas industry. Despite it being a virtual event, NOGOF 2021 had over 700 participants, 78 speakers, 12 exhibitors with 19 opportunity presenters with over 200 opportunities presented. NOGOF 2021 was a very successful virtual event with the aftermath resulting in a host of requests from potential clients on the possibility of Jake Riley hosting their proposed virtual event.
